2 kiwi fruit, chopped
2 oranges, peeled & chopped
3 carrots, topped, tailed & chopped
A handful of fresh basil leaves
2 oranges, peeled & chopped
3 carrots, topped, tailed & chopped
A handful of fresh basil leaves

A bright orange juice with a sweet, tangy taste and a hint of fresh basil at the end.
Makes: about 2 glasses (around 450ml). Prep: 10 minutes.
How to make it
- Peel the oranges and split them into segments.
- Cut the kiwis in half. You can leave the skin on, but peeled kiwi gives a smoother taste.
- Top and tail the carrots.
- Roll the basil leaves into a small bundle and feed it in between the orange segments.
- Juice the kiwi and carrot, then stir and serve.
Tips and swaps
Basil is strong, so start with a few leaves and add more next time. Mint works instead. Use ripe kiwis that give slightly when pressed.
