Orange, Cucumber, Brussel Sprout, Ginger and Pineapple
ORANGE, CUCUMBER, BRUSSELS SPROUT, GINGER AND PINEAPPLE
2 oranges, peeled & segmented
1 cucumber, chopped
2 sprouts, chopped
1 knob of ginger, peeled & chopped
1/4 pineapple, peeled
1 cucumber, chopped
2 sprouts, chopped
1 knob of ginger, peeled & chopped
1/4 pineapple, peeled

An unusual mix that works. Orange and pineapple keep it sweet, cucumber makes it light, and the sprouts and ginger give it a savoury, warming edge.
Makes: about 2 glasses (around 500ml). Prep: 10 minutes.
How to make it
- Peel the oranges and split them into segments.
- Peel the pineapple and cut it into chunks.
- Trim the sprouts and cut them in half.
- Peel the ginger and cut it into small pieces.
- Feed the sprouts and ginger in between the softer fruit and cucumber.
- Stir and serve.
Tips and swaps
Two sprouts is plenty, as more can make the juice bitter. A handful of kale or spinach works instead. It's also a good way to use up leftover sprouts after Christmas.
