The biggest barrier to juicing at home has never really been the juice. It is the prep. Peeling, coring, chopping everything down to fit a narrow chute, then scrubbing a clogged filter afterwards. For a lot of people, that is enough to send the juicer to the back of the cupboard by February.
The new f2800 Open Whole Fruit Juicer is our answer to that. It is the widest-chute juicer we have ever made, and it is designed to remove the two things people dislike most about juicing: the preparation and the cleaning.
A 180mm open chute that takes whole fruit
The f2800 has a 180mm open feed chute, the largest in the Fridja range. Whole apples, oranges and pears go straight in. No chopping, no coring, no cutting things into batons to fit. For most everyday fruit and veg, prep time is effectively zero.
The chute feeds into a gravity-fed hopper, so you can load it up, press start and walk away. The auger draws ingredients down on its own while you get on with your morning. Come back a few minutes later to a full 1.2 litre jug.

Cold press extraction, done quietly
Inside, a 250W AC motor turns at a slow 43 to 50 RPM. That slow speed is the point. Rather than shredding fruit at high speed, the f2800 presses it gently, which helps preserve nutrients, flavour and colour, and produces noticeably drier pulp with more juice in the glass. Juice made this way keeps well in the fridge for up to 72 hours.
The slow motor also keeps noise down. At around 63 dB, it is quiet enough to use early in the morning without waking the rest of the house.

Cleaning in about a minute
The f2800 uses an easy-clean filter with a minimal mesh design, so pulp does not get trapped the way it does in a traditional full-mesh screen. Most of the time a quick rinse under the tap is all it needs, and the removable parts are top-rack dishwasher safe under 40°C. If cleaning has put you off juicers before, this is the part worth paying attention to.

More than juice
Swap in the included sorbet attachment and the f2800 turns frozen fruit into smooth sorbet or one-ingredient fruit ice cream. Frozen banana, mango and berries all work well, with no added sugar or cream needed. It also handles nut milks: soak almonds, cashews or oats, feed them through with water, and you get fresh, additive-free plant milk in minutes.

What to make first
If you want somewhere to start, a simple apple, blueberry and grape juice is a good introduction, since all three go into the f2800 whole. For something with a bit more depth, try carrot, beetroot and lime, or a sharper tangerine, lemon and ginger if you like a morning juice with some bite.

How it compares to our other juicers
The f2800 sits at the top of our juicer range, but it is not the only option. The f1900 Whole Fruit Juicer is our most affordable cold press juicer, with a 75mm chute that suits smaller fruit and chopped ingredients. The f2500 Self Feeding Whole Fruit Juicer introduced hands-free juicing with a 135mm chute and remains the lightest of the three.
The f2800 takes that hands-free approach further, with the widest chute, the largest juice jug, the quietest cold press motor speed and the easiest cleaning in the range. If you juice regularly, or you have avoided juicing because of the faff, it is the one we would point you towards.
