Tangerine, Lemon and Ginger
1 lemon, peeled and segmented
1 knob ginger, peeled & chopped

A bright, sharp citrus juice with a warm ginger finish. It only needs three ingredients and takes five minutes, so it's an easy one to make first thing in the morning.
Makes: about 1 glass (250 to 300ml). Prep: 5 minutes.
How to make it
- Peel the tangerines and lemon and split them into segments. Taking off the white pith stops the juice tasting bitter.
- Peel the ginger and cut it into small pieces.
- Feed the ginger in between the citrus segments so it gets pushed all the way through.
- Stir and serve straight away, over ice if you like.
Tips and swaps
Start with a thumb-sized piece of ginger and add more next time if you want more heat. Clementines or satsumas work just as well as tangerines. For a sweeter glass, add an apple.
Which Fridja juicer to use
The f1900 Whole Fruit Juicer or f2500 Self Feeding Whole Fruit Juicer will juice the citrus and the ginger together. If you only want the citrus, the f900 Automatic Citrus Juicer juices halved tangerines and lemons with no peeling, and you can grate a little fresh ginger in afterwards.
Storing it
Best drunk fresh. It keeps in a sealed glass jar in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Shake or stir it before drinking.
Tangerine and lemon are a source of vitamin C, which contributes to the normal function of the immune system.
Vitamin C also contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
Ginger adds a warming, spicy kick.
