Apple, Blueberry and Grape

4 apples, chopped
30 blueberries
30 grapes
Apple, blueberry and grape juice recipe made with a Fridja masticating juicer.

A sweet, fruity juice that's always popular with children. Apple gives it a fresh base and the blueberries turn it a deep purple.

Makes: about 2 glasses (around 500ml). Prep: 5 minutes.

How to make it

  1. Core the apples and cut them into quarters, or drop them in whole if your juicer takes whole fruit.
  2. Wash the blueberries and grapes, and pull the grapes off their stalks.
  3. Juice the berries and grapes first, then the apples to push everything through.
  4. Stir and serve over ice.

Tips and swaps

Seedless grapes are the easiest to use. Frozen blueberries work fine once thawed. For a less sweet glass, add a squeeze of lemon or a handful of spinach.

Which Fridja juicer to use

The f2800 Open Whole Fruit Juicer takes whole apples through its 180mm chute, so there's almost no chopping. The f2500 Self Feeding Whole Fruit Juicer works well too.

Storing it

Best drunk fresh. It keeps in a sealed glass jar in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
