A smoothie should be cold. Properly cold, thick enough to hold a spoon upright, and still that way when you sit down to drink it. Most portable blenders can't manage it, because a thin plastic cup was never going to keep anything cold.
So we built this one around the cup. Double-walled 304 stainless steel, insulated the way a good flask is insulated, with six blades underneath turning at 18,000 rpm. Ice crushed in seconds. Cold for hours.
Here is the part we are most pleased with. The blender head lifts away and a drinking lid goes on in its place, so the cup you blended in is simply the cup you carry. Nothing to decant, and nothing waiting in the sink.

This blender is very powerful. It is lightweight but still feels sturdy and well made. The blades are very powerful, so you really need to be careful when operating or cleaning it. It blends fruits very quickly and makes it very easy to prepare fresh juices and smoothies. The 500ml capacity is also good for making a decent-sized smoothie or juice. I also really like the safety feature where it won’t work when it is empty, which gives some extra peace of mind. Another thing I like is that it is made with a steel cup rather than plastic, which feels much safer and more durable. It is also very easy to clean, although you cannot put it in the dishwasher and it needs to be cleaned by hand. The fact that it is water resistant and can be rinsed under a running tap makes cleaning fairly straightforward. It is also USB-C rechargeable, which is very handy, especially if you want to take it with you when travelling. The battery gives you several blends before needing to be charged again. I think the price is reasonable considering how powerful and convenient it is. The blender comes attractively packaged so would make a very acceptable gift. An illustrated instruction booklet is included. Using the USB cable, I charged mine up before use. When low in power, a red light going around the base unit is visible and this turns a bluey green when the blender is charged. The blender is very smooth to the touch and the handle is comfortable to hold, balancing well when held. It has a rubber mat on the base which gives it that bit extra stability so it is not so inclined to move around when in use. It also ensures that it won’t scratch the work surface. The blades come with a guard over them which, obviously, need to be removed before use. Although not silent, the blender is reasonably quiet. It does a good job at blending. This is a good quality blender that works well. Recommended.
This is certainly expensive for a portable blender, but it does have a premium feel to it. I particularly like the sleek design and the 500ml stainless steel cup, which feels much more substantial than the plastic containers you tend to get with cheaper portable blenders. The large handle is comfortable too and makes it easy to carry around. For my first proper test I threw in ginger, a banana, carrots and a few other bits and bobs, so it wasn't exactly the easiest mixture to deal with. It produced decent results and the six blades seem to have a reasonable amount of power for something this compact. I'll need to use it more to see how it copes with different ingredients, but my first attempt was encouraging. USB-C charging is convenient and I like being able to blend everything in the same insulated cup that you can then drink from and take with you. It's still difficult to call £79.99 good value when there are so many cheaper portable blenders available, but this does look and feel like a higher-quality product. So far, I'm pretty impressed and would recommend if you don’t mind the high price.
Great blender and it feels much more premium than others on the market. The manual isn’t complete though. I had to go through customer service to get it working initially. With that said, once you get past the AI chatbot, the human customer service team were really good and genuinely proactive in trying to resolve the issue. Would buy again.
