Carrot, Celery and Lemon

CARROT, CELERY AND LEMON
3 carrots, chopped
5 celery sticks, chopped
2 lemons, chopped
Carrot, celery and lemon juice recipe made with a Fridja masticating juicer.

A clean, savoury juice. Carrot gives it a sweet base, celery adds a fresh, slightly salty note and lemon sharpens the finish.

Makes: about 2 small glasses (around 400ml). Prep: 10 minutes.

How to make it

  1. Top and tail the carrots.
  2. Cut the celery into short lengths.
  3. Peel the lemons so the juice doesn't turn bitter, then cut them into quarters.
  4. Feed the carrot, celery and lemon through in turn.
  5. Stir and serve.

Tips and swaps

If two lemons is too sharp for you, swap one for an apple. A small piece of ginger adds some heat.

Which Fridja juicer to use

The f2500 Self Feeding Whole Fruit Juicer takes bigger pieces of carrot, so there's less chopping. The f1900 Whole Fruit Juicer works well too.

Storing it

Best drunk fresh. It keeps in a sealed glass jar in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
