Radish, Cucumber and Lettuce
RADISH, CUCUMBER AND LETTUCE
10 radishes, topped & tailed
1 cucumber, chopped
½ head of lettuce, separated into leaves
1 cucumber, chopped
½ head of lettuce, separated into leaves

A crisp, peppery green juice. Cucumber and lettuce keep it light and mild, and the radishes add a little bite at the end.
Makes: about 2 small glasses (around 400ml). Prep: 10 minutes.
How to make it
- Wash the radishes well and trim off the tops and roots.
- Cut the cucumber into lengths that fit the feed chute. There's no need to peel it.
- Separate the lettuce leaves and roll them into small bundles.
- Feed the lettuce in between the cucumber and radishes so the firmer pieces push the leaves through.
- Stir and serve chilled.
Tips and swaps
Romaine or Little Gem lettuce gives more juice than a soft round lettuce. Add more radishes if you'd like more heat, or half a green apple if you'd like it sweeter.
Which Fridja juicer to use
The f1900 Whole Fruit Juicer. Its slow press works well with lettuce leaves, and the cucumber helps push them through.
Storing it
Best drunk fresh. It keeps in a sealed glass jar in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
